Applying Without a Diploma Yet?
If you haven’t graduated from high school when you apply, you’ll need to submit a diploma statement. This document tells us:
- How your school grades you
- What diploma you’re working towards
- Which subjects you’re taking for your final exams
Already have your diploma?
You don’t need a diploma statement.
International Students
If you’re from another country and aren’t getting a Dutch VWO diploma, you’ll need the non-Dutch diploma statement.
- Download it here
- Ask your school counselor or teacher to fill it out on a computer.
- Print it, then get it signed and stamped by your school.
- Scan and upload the signed document to OLAF when you apply.
Dutch VWO Students
If you’re earning a Dutch VWO diploma, your school needs to fill out the standard 5-VWO grade list for decentral selection.
Your application will be reviewed based on the grades from your 5th year of VWO (5-VWO).
- Download the VWO grade list template here.
- Ask your school to complete it on a computer, then print, sign, and stamp it.
- Scan both the grade list and your official 5-VWO transcript.
- Upload both documents to OLAF. The RSM Admissions Office needs both the template and your original transcript.
Important Information for schools when filling out the 5-VWO grade list:
- Include grades from the 5-VWO report for subjects taken in the final exams.
- Don’t include grades from earlier years (e.g. 3-VWO subjects).
- Don’t include grades from 6-VWO.
- Resits from 5-VWO can be included if they’re part of the 5-VWO report.
- Round grades to one decimal point, using your school’s rules.
- If a subject has already been completed in the final exam, check the university website to know whether to submit the 5-VWO grade or the final exam grade.
