To illustrate your drive and suitability for the IBA programme at RSM, you will need to answer our motivation questions below. The score for your motivation will count for 25% of your score in the final selection. There are no right or wrong answers to these questions. The most important factor in the IBA selection process is still your grade average, which counts for 75% of your final score.
Our tips: Read all the keywords of every question carefully and address all key points as much as you can. Plan ahead as you can only write a maximum of 1500 characters (including spaces and punctuation) for each question. You can include personal past experiences, current activities or skills, your future goals and plans in your answers. However, remember to focus on what the question is asking, and only use examples that are relevant.

The motivation questions:
- Business administration is about understanding how organisations make decisions, create value, work with people, respond to markets, and affect society.
Think of one real situation that made you interested in business administration. This could be something you noticed or experienced in a school project, part-time job, family business, student club, event, online platform, local business, or community activity.
What happened? What business-related choice or problem did you notice? Why did it interest you, and what did it make you want to understand better about how organisations work?
Finally, explain why RSM’s International Business Administration programme is a suitable place for you to develop this interest further.
